The PHS Key Club is hosting a blood drive this Friday, March 10th from 8:00-2:30 p.m. on the high school campus. This drive is a competition between PHS and GCT to see which school can collect more pints at their spring drive. You save 3 lives with each pint you donate, and as an added bonus, you will receive a $10 Visa e-gift card and a Paragould Red Cross t-shirt. Check out the flyer to sign up!
The Paragould School District had nine students travel to Arkansas State University on Saturday, March 4 to participate in the 44th Annual ACTM Junior High and High School Regional Math Contest.
Abdissa Omer (9th grader), Carleigh Boone (8th grader), Romani Cook (8th grader), Josie Fuller (9th grader), John McNamee (9th grader), and Michaela Thomas (8th grader) completed the Algebra 1 test. John received the 1st place medal, Abdissa received the 2nd place medal, and Josie received honorable mention.
Freshmen Dalen Burroughs and Edwin Chen completed the Geometry test. Dalen received the 1st place medal and Edwin received the 2nd place medal.
Senior Ethan Tritch completed the Calculus test and received the 1st place medal.
As always it was a great day to be a RAM. Congratulations to these students!! We are very proud of all of you for representing our school district so well.
Congratulations to the PHS Encore Choir on earning an overall Superior Rating at the ArkCDA Region 1 Choral Performance Assessment in Searcy! The group got a score of 1 (on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the bottom and 1 being the TOP) on their prepared pieces, and a 2 in sight reading. As an additional perk of scoring so well, the Encore Choir has qualified for State Choral Performance Assessment in April! Your Ram Family is so proud of you!

Upcoming Family Programs, Tours, and Activities at Lake Frierson State Park
Our girls basketball team is playing in the first round of the state tournament this Wednesday at 4:00pm. If we have enough student interest, we will be taking a pep bus to the game that will be played in Pine Bluff. Game admission is $7, you will need to bring enough money to get in the game AND enough to eat dinner at the concession stand.
Please pick up a form in the Student Services office if you are interested in attending. This form requires a parent signature. Forms are due tomorrow by 1:30pm in the Student Services office. The time for leaving and arriving back to campus is on the form.

Brown's Graduation supplies will be back on campus Tuesday, February 21st to deliver class rings that were ordered and do sizing for cap/gowns for any Senior that missed sizing in the fall. They will begin ring distribution and sizing at 9:00am.

Parent-Teacher conferences will be held this Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm. Parents will be able to pick up a copy of their child's 3rd quarter interim grades and speak with classroom teachers.
PHS is hosting a winter dance on Friday, February 17th following our senior night basketball games vs. West Memphis, the dance will begin at 9:00pm. This event is open ONLY to Paragould High School students who meet the listed requirements.

The Paragould School District continues to monitor the weather. All car lines will start at 1:00 this afternoon (Monday, January 30). Due to the updated weather forecast for this afternoon, PSD will run our buses 90 minutes early. We have buses that are in excess of an hour and a half in length and student safety is the priority.
