School of the 21st Century Elmwood is licensed for 110 slots for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our site has been awarded a limited number of ABC (Arkansas Better Chance), ABCSS (Arkansas Better Chance for School Success), and Federal Pre-K spots. These spots are state funded and no-cost to parents during the 8am - 3pm hours and they follow the Paragould School District calendar. In order to maintain this funding, enrollment in these spaces must be filled throughout the school year. When a child qualifies for one of these programs, they continue to receive this assigned funding source regardless of classroom placement. The funding moves with the child for the specified number of years stated by the funder. Once all grant spots are filled the remaining slots are for paid/child care vouchers.

  • Drop off Time from 7:45am - 8:00am

  • Pick Up Time from 2:30pm - 3:00pm

• Exceptions:

  • Foster Child

  • Child in the custody/living with someone other than the parent(s) (at the time of enrollment)

• ABC ONLY

  • Incarcerated parent (during child’s lifetime)

  • Parent activated for overseas military duty (at the time of enrollment)

  • Parents without a high school diploma

  • Low birth weight (below 5 pounds, 9 ounces)

  • Parent is under 18 years of age at child’s birth

  • Immediate family member has a history of substance abuse or neglect

  • Has a demonstrable developmental delay as identified through screening

  • Limited english proficiency

• Gross Income Based

• At least one parent is required to:

  • Work a minimum of 30hrs hours per week at federal minimum wage

  • OR a full time student with 12 or more credit hours (must provide a copy of school schedule)

  • OR combine work hours and school hours that’s greater than or equal to 30hrs per week

• Free Hours 8am - 3pm

  • Drop off Time from 7:45am - 8:00am

  • Pick Up Time from 2:30pm - 3:00pm

• Exceptions:

  • Foster Child

  • Child in the custody/living with someone other than the parent(s) (at the time of enrollment)

  • Incarcerated parent (during child’s lifetime)

  • Parent activated for overseas military duty (at the time of enrollment)

• If you don’t meet the qualifications for ABC or FPK OR If all grant spots are full

• Annual registration fee of $30.00 MUST be paid before child can start

• Weekly Rates:

  • Birth up to 2 years old =  $125.00 weekly

  • 2 years to Preschool = $90.00 weekly  

• Weekly tuition covers a total of 9 ½ hours a day

An additional charge of $5.00 a day will be charged if  the child is in attendance more than 9½ hours
