🎓✨ Paragould High School kicked off the Arkansas Applied Campaign with a special Mayoral Proclamation Ceremony in celebration of national #WhyApply Day!

Career Coaches Francesca Shearer and Brittany Hall planned the event, where Mayor Agee signed a Proclamation officially designating October 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025 as Paragould High School’s Arkansas Applied Campaign.

💬 Our seniors heard inspiring messages from Mayor Agee, City Councilman, Pastor, and Podcaster Jared Pickney, and Pastor Blake Ligon of CBC Paragould, encouraging the Class of 2026 to pursue enrollment, enlistment, or employment after graduation.

📽️ PHS faculty and staff also joined together in a special video message for seniors, which was revealed during the ceremony.

🎟️ Seniors who have already applied to college received Golden Tickets to scratch off for prizes—thanks to the incredible support of our local businesses who generously donated rewards for students and teachers!

Exciting progress is happening across the district as multiple construction projects continue to move forward with impressive momentum! The new arena is beginning to take shape, with block walls and steel structures now visible — a thrilling sign of what’s to come. Construction on the new baseball and softball turf fields is in full swing. These dynamic improvements are a powerful reflection of our district’s continued commitment to delivering top tier educational and athletic environments for our students, staff, and community. The future is being built and it’s looking incredible!

✈️ Big opportunities are taking flight for PHS sophomore Elaine Zhang!🌟

Instructor Pilot Jason Fodor met with Elaine to plan her upcoming job shadow at Little Rock Air Force Base. Elaine is interested in becoming a Commercial Pilot, and Mr. Fodor is creating a hands-on experience to help her explore the field.

Her day will include meeting with a female pilot from the Guard, sitting in on a table-top briefing and route study, observing the flight crew’s setup while listening in with a headset, and even trying out a flight simulator while the crew is in the air.
Elaine came prepared with great questions and is looking forward to this incredible learning opportunity!
