The police department was called to a bus accident early this morning. Both the bus and the private vehicle were operable after the incident. No injuries were reported. Students on the bus are fine and have been delivered to their school. Thank you for your patience.

Help us wish the PHS Cheerleaders the best of luck as they take the stage at 9:46am today in Dallas! Go team go!

After watching the 4th - 6th grade Rams basketball players and cheerleaders we noticed someone cleaning the stands...check out Zoey Keeling who is a kindergartener in Kailee Nunn's class. She takes it upon herself to make sure the stands are clean before heading home for the night. Now, maybe she's delaying her bed time; maybe she just has a servant's heart and loves herself some Rams! We choose the later. Thanks Zoey!

The last photo of our "better late than never" series is here and it's a perfect fit for Friday the 13th. Check out these spooktacular yogurt Frankenstein cups our cafeteria staff made for students. It's the little things that make a big difference!

Tiffany Nolen's art classes at PJHS learned the process of enlarging an imaging using the grid method. They did a group drawing of Andy Warhols Campbell Soup can. Each student completed a cell drawing and oil pastel. Once all the cells were completed, students worked together in the assemblage process. Thanks for making learning so creative and hands on, Mrs. Nolen!

On November 29th, the Jonesboro Sun printed an article about PHS 10th grader, Jadyn Brown being selected to attend the "Congress of Future Medical Leaders" at the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus. In case you missed it, we included a snapshot of it in our "better late than never" series. Congratulations Jadyn! Your Ram family is proud of you!

The Miss PSD Pageant is going to be held on January 28, 2023. The deadline to register is January 21st. See the attached for information and the QR code to register.

The PHS Theater Department proudly presents "Farce of Habit" this Friday and Saturday (January 13th and 14th) at 7:00pm in the PHS Auditorium. The play is a southern, slapstick comedy that takes place in Arkansas, and it is appropriate for all ages. We hope to see you there!

The 2023 Miss AMMC Pageant Information and registration form is attached for anyone interested!

The PHS FFA adopts a family each year through our counselor's office as one of their service projects. Enjoy a few pictures of the students wrapping this years gifts. Also included in this edition of our "better late than never series" are a few pictures from our PHS Agricultural Department. Walmart donated seeds that were then sorted and will be used in the garden kits the Agri students plan to make and give to Rams in lower grades this spring. We have the best students and staff!

We would love to shout THANK YOU to the Central Baptist Paragould Women's Ministry for their donation to our food backpack program. We are grateful for your generosity!

If you're following along with our "better late than never" series, we have a Thanksgiving post just for you. We are beyond thankful for the members of the Paragould Junior Auxiliary for the donation of 100 Thanksgiving dinners for our Ram families. What a blessing!

Still in the "better late than never" series is news from our Ram Academy. 9th - 12th grade counselors, Paige Yawson and Stacey Horn, met with students to develop a "Student Success Plan" that will help them plan for their academic future. Francesca Shearer, the PHS Career Coach met with 11th graders to map out their next steps toward the college or career of their choice. Officers Beasley and Hall (SRO) completed Part 1 of the program "Smart Choices, Better Chances". In this 4 part series, students will learn about city and state laws and how they affect our youth. As if all of that wasn't enough ~ Nicole Babcock, Community Health Nurse Specialist and former PHS nurse, came to campus during Red Ribbon Week to present "A Dose of Reality" which explains the dangers of abusing prescription medicine.

First National Bank is next up in our "better late than never series" . They donated 150 hygiene kits to our PHS clothing closet. The kits will come in handy when we have students or families in need. Thank you to Neely Camp for organizing and delivering the kits.

In keeping with our "better late than never" series, check out this gem from last summer. PJHS was named as the Jostens 2022 National Yearbook Program of Excellence. Jostens recognized PJHS for a "dynamic and engaging yearbook" that achieved the following criteria: creating an inclusive yearbook (captured a broad representation of the student body); generating school engagement; and successfully managing the yearbook creation process. Congratulations to Aaron Ferguson and his student team, Edwin Chen and Jamarion Scott, for their outstanding work!
