The PSD summer feeding program is currently available for children ages 1-18. Food is available Monday through Friday, June 1-26 and July 6-31, from 10-11:30 am. Food can be picked up from the parking lots at Paragould Junior High and Oak Grove Middle School. Children must be present.
Our regular backpack food program will continue through July 30, 2020. Students that received food backpacks each Friday of the regular school year may pick up 2 weeks of packaged food bags in front of Paragould Junior High School from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates:

Report cards and academic awards will be sent out this week! A list of students receiving awards can be found under the 'News' category on the PJHS website.
Our offices will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
8th grade athletes may pick up a DVD copy of the virtual athletic banquet and any awards next week! Items will be picked up by the main entrance to the high school.
2019-20 yearbooks are available for purchase in the front office for $30. Please contact the school if you would like to purchase one!
The PJHS parking lot has been blocked off due to asphalt work. If you have an 8th grade student picking up items from the office, you may park in the Direct Auto parking lot next door to PJHS to access the junior office.

We want to give a big shoutout to Mr. David Powell, 7th Grade History Teacher and School Safety Team Chair. Mr. Powell submitted a grant to the Blue and You foundation and the school received a $1,000 check to go towards purchasing student and staff safety items! #PSDRams
This week is the last week new paper AMI copies will be set out in front of the junior high building. All paper AMI copies need to be turned into the drop box in front of the PJHS offices by next Friday, May 15th.

Just a reminder, the AMI and library book drop box is located outside the Junior High main entrance. Any AMI work that is completed or checked out library books can be dropped here weekdays from 7:30-4:00pm.
PJHS had over 20 students earn awards at the NEA Regional Science Fair in March, each name and their award is posted on the school website under the 'News' tab. Great job students!!
The school offices will be closed on Friday, April 10th in observance of Good Friday. Hope you all have a great weekend! Our offices will reopen Monday, April 13th at 7:30am.
Beginning Monday, April 13, there will be a drop box placed in front of the Junior High for completed AMI paper packets. Please make sure the student name and teacher name are on each packet. Packets may be dropped off between 7:30-4:00 Monday through Friday.
Amazon has canceled the subscription of books and audio stories for children and students of all ages as long as schools are closed.

PSD's AMI Plan following this week has been posted to the school website. Homeroom teachers have been making contact with parents this week to communicate this plan. If a paper packet is needed for your student, they will be available in front of the PJHS lobby beginning tomorrow at 8:00am.
Students will complete AMI assignments 6-10 this week (March 30-April 3). Packets were handed out to students prior to school dismissing, electronic copies can be found under the 'lesson plan' tab on the school district website.
PSD will be closed March 16 through March 27. Students are to complete days 1-5 of the AMI packets next week. March 23-27 is spring break; therefore, no coursework is required during that week. Please watch for more information regarding meals for students.
