The federal Emergency Broadband Benefit program will provide up to $50 per month for broadband services for eligible households and a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop, or tablet. The program launched yesterday. All households with K-12 grade PSD students are eligible through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision. Households can enroll through an approved provider or by visiting https://getemergencybroadband.org/. Questions should be directed to your internet service provider.
Any virtual student that did not take the band assessment test for 7th grade needs to come to OGMS Wednesday at 11:20. This assessment will help to place them in band when they enter 7th grade. This will take 45 minutes. ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!!

VIRTUAL students will do ACT Aspire testing for Interim #4 (science) on Wednesday, March 17 (tomorrow) at 9:45 am. Students must bring their CHARGED Chromebooks with them and wear a mask. Please expect the test to take until 11:00 am and be prepared to pick up your student at that time. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we cannot let parents into the building, but we ask that you wait in your vehicles until your child has completed testing. Please bring them to the front office and they will be escorted to the testing area from there.

Your child has a copy with his or her name on it waiting on them in the office! March is National Reading Month, and Paragould is "raising readers." Next month is designated to motivate Americans of all ages to read every day. To promote reading throughout the whole city of Paragould, we need your help! Please put your favorite book in the window of your store and home. Let's involve the whole community and see books in every window! We want our students from all of our local schools to be inspired by the many people in Paragould that read. Doing this one simple thing can make a big difference to motivate our younger generation to become avid readers.
