The Paragould School District Announces Hire of Head Football Coach
Paragould, AR February 14, 2023 - The Paragould School District voted on February 13th to name Arkansas native, Randy Phillips, as the Head Football Coach for grades 7 - 12.
Coach Phillips’ 19 years of coaching experience includes 7 years as a 7 - 12 Head Football Coach with his teams making the State Playoffs in 2020, 2021, and 2022. His resume also includes working as an Assistant Coach with offensive and defensive lines as well as wide receivers and secondary teams. He has helped grow several programs within the state and made a State Championship appearance as an Assistant. Coach Phillips is excited to bring his knowledge and experience to the Paragould School District. “I am excited to lead the Ram football program and invest in the young men and women at Paragould. I will do my very best at instilling the qualities necessary for our team to be successful.”
When asked about his vision for the PSD football program, Coach Phillips had this to say
“Relationships bring in players; success keeps them. They have to see the payoff. The Paragould Ram football program will work to create outstanding young men. This starts with all coaches building relationships with players on and off the field. I will do my very best to lead by example with a great work ethic, high character, and passion. Most of all, I want each player to know they matter and are valued!”
Coach Phillips will be joined in Paragould by his wife, Lindsay, and his 15 year old son, Reid who is a 9th grader.
